Fire crews were on the scene of a fully engulfed house fire in the Lafferty/Flushing area of Belmont County.
Flames were shooting from the roof and smoke could be seen for miles.
The fire was spotted by a woman passing by who happened to be a firefighter. She saw smoke and immediately called it in.
The one-and-a-half story home belonged to a husband and wife who were not inside the home at the time of the blaze. However, neighbors believe one or two pet Pomeranians were inside the house when the fire started.
Cumberland Trail, Lafferty, Flushing, Barnesville and Morristown Fire Departments were all on the scene, as well as Salvation Army Mobile Canteen.
