Good police work is more than catching bad guys. It means going into the community and hearing what citizens have to say.
Wheeling's law enforcement leaders seem to be embracing that idea. They
recently attended a Warwood Neighborhood Watch meeting to get a better
understanding of what residents are facing.
We hope this kind of holistic, community-first police work continues around the city. If we're going to take back our town, then we must be willing to work with police and they must be willing to work with us.
