WTRF.com had the chance to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into firework preparations.

Pyrotechnics by Presutti have been preparing since 10 a.m. in the extreme heat, putting together a memorable fireworks show this Independence Day.

Lead shooter of the show Sam Zavatsky said there will be eight people working the show manually shooting off fireworks while others are also fired off by computer.

"Just some different types of shells ordered from China, some double hearts, cube shells, smiley faces, just with finale gold effects, like a two tier finale," lead shooter Sam Zavatsky said.

Zavatsky said to be ready for the Niagara Falls display; 500-feet of fireworks strung across the entire length of the bridge.

The City of Wheeling's fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:45 p.m.
