Its something Pittsburgh Pirate fans aren't accustomed to seeing, but on Wednesday the team did something they haven't in a long time and took over first place in their division.
The Buccos have arguably been the hottest team in baseball since June.
One area the team has greatly improved on is their hitting.
The Bucco batters have scored over 60 runs in less than 10 games.
"It's great to see the Pirates doing so well. I really hope they'll continue to just as well after the All Star break," added Bridgeport native Bud Smith.
The Pirates picked up their latest on win at PNC Park on July 4 when they beat the Houston Astros 6-4.
They remain one game ahead of the Cincinnati Reds.
They'll be back on the diamond Thursday to face the Astros at 7:05 p.m.
