After five months without a fire chief ,Steubenville Thursday got a new leader.
Long-time assistant chief Carlo Capaldi was sworn in as the new chief replacing Terry English who retired in February.
The new assistant chief, two captains and a sergeant were also sworn in before a packed crowd at the Old Fort Steuben.
Carpaldi says the biggest challenge facing the dept is the diminishing the number of firefighters.
