Scattered storms overnight have left many without power posing problems for local businesses.
The power outage hit last night in the Steubenville area were many businesses like Hauser's Furniture began Thursday without power. The problem: selling furniture without electricity.
Customers had to be turned away because sales could not be rung in.
Owner Marty Hauser said a power outage like this can cost his business thousands.
"People come from distances and we appreciate it," said Hauser. "It's annoying when you don't have power. Hopefully people who had to leave because they couldn't see anything will come back."
The power outage affected traffic lights as well. 7News found lights along Sunset Boulevard flashing as a result. Hauser said it seems like these power outages last much longer than they used to.
