It was a day of remembering in Jefferson County, as hundreds of people gathered at the ball fields on 7th Street in Steubenville to remember those who died as a result of violence.
Pastor JoElla Williams was one of the people behind Sunday's gathering. She said the organization's goal is to get the community together to stop the drive by shootings and drug cartel.
Many families attending Sunday's gathering lost loved ones to violence over the years and they want it to stop.
"Even though they're gone, they're not forgotten in our hearts," Pastor JoElla Williams said. "So this is a move towards change because if we don't do anything, we are just as wrong as those out there who are active."
Williams said over 300 people have already joined this new organization.
