
The Pittsburgh Pirates lead the NL Central Division at the halfway point in the season, following a 13-2 win over the Giants at PNC Park on Sunday.
All-Star center fielder Andrew McCutchen cranked two, two-run home runs and had a three-hit day. McCutchen, who heard MVP chants from the fans, leads the Major Leagues with a .362 average at the break. He also has 18 HRs and 60 RBIs at the break. McCutchen will be joined by closer Joel Hanrahan in Kansas City for Tuesday's All-Star Game. McCuthchen will also participate in Monday's Home run Derby.
Second baseman Neil Walker also homered on Sunday--part of his 5-for-5 day-the second of his career.
The Pirates are 48-37 at the All-Star break and lead the Reds by a game.
