Veterinarians at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium think they know what's killed 14 of their exotic birds since April.
The zoo says a bacterial infection was passed from bird-to-bird, killing one-third of its lorikeets.
Zoo Veterinarian Dr. Michael Barrie says they think the infection has stopped and that the last death came more than a week ago.
The aviary that houses the birds and where visitors can walk through and feed nectar to the lorikeets has re-opened.
The zoo's veterinarian says they may never know what actually caused the infection.
