Ohio County Democratic Committee to Make Commissioner Choice - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The Ohio County Democrat Executive Committee will meet Monday night to choose a candidate to go on the ballet to replace former Ohio County commissioner David Sims.

Sims was appointed to  Circuit Court judge which left an open spot for the Democratic Ohio County commissioner.

The meeting Monday at 6:30  p.m. will be held for anyone that filed to be on the ticket to take David Sim's place.

W.Va. Senator Orphy Klempa is one of those who has offered his name for consideration.

Klempa said his hope is to better serve Ohio County and his family by returning home.
