CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
Sprint Cup driver A.J. Allmendinger has requested that the "B" sample be tested after the initial test showed a banned substance.
Allmendinger has been temporarily suspended last weekend, just before the Coke Zero 400, for testing positive of a banned substance.
In a press release, he said he would do nothing to jeopardize his opportunity at Penske Racing.
Penske Racing has said that Sam Hornish, Jr. will drive for Allmendinger this weekend at New Hampshire while the results of the "B" sample are pending.
