Movie Highlighting West Virginia Courthouses Up For Emmy

A movie produced about West Virginia's courthouses is nominated for a regional Emmy.
It's called "Living Monuments - West Virginia's Courthouses," and was made in 2011 by Wheeling-based Walkabout Company, LLC.

 

 

One of the courthouses featured in the film is Marshall County's.

The project was undertaken by the West Virginia Association of Counties. Their goal was to highlight the significant contribution of the sates courthouses to history, architecture, and community. 

A book is scheduled to be published this fall that will feature the history and architecture of all 55 county courthouses.
