A Wheeling man is behind bars after being arrested for an early morning burglary.
Wheeling Police say they responded to the scene of a previous burglary on Clay Avenue just around 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Mark Murphy, 22, was placed under arrest for the burglary without incident and transported to police headquarters for processing.
The burglary had taken place around 5 a.m., but the victim alerted police that Murphy had returned to the area. While on scene, they found another burglary that had occurred on the same street.
When police arrested Murphy he did have a gun on him. They also found keys and knife on the basement floor of one of the homes that he burglarized.
The keys did belong to a car registered to Murphy and police suspect the knife belonged to him as well.
