Bail has been set for Thomas Brown, a Maryland man who allegedly stabbed another man.
The fugitive was found hiding out in Steubenville and wanted in Frederick, Md. for attempted murder.
Brown went before a judge who set his bond at $500,000. He refused to waive extradition back to Frederick, Md. where he is accused of attempted murder.
"The bond for public safety and other reasons has to be set so high. I'm going to set bond at half a million dollars because of the severity," said the judge.
Brown told 7News he is confused on the bond ruling.
Brown has been taken to jail in Steubenville and will remain there until his hearing.
