Drug Task Force Takes On Ohio Valley Felons

Posted: Updated:

Ohio Valley law enforcement agencies teamed up Friday to catch some of the Ohio Valley's most dangerous criminals.

7News was there as members of the LEAD drug task force were gearing up to serve 19 felony indictments throughout eastern Ohio.

Harrison County Sheriff Ron Myers said the focus is to catch suspects wanted for selling controlled substances like cocaine, crack, heroin, and other drugs and has one message to anyone that wants to start.

"Don't sell drugs and don't buy drugs in Harrison County. If you do, its our job to find you and bring you to justice," added Sheriff Myers.

Prescription pills have also been a main concern for law enforcement in the area.

Myers said, "we've definitely seen a rise in the use and distribution of these pills, so we'll definitely be on the lookout for those as well."
