A car with four people inside crashes to the bottom of a ditch along Stone Church Road in Ohio County. All four people that were traveling in the car were injured when the car spun out of control.
Speed was most likely a factor in the accident, as the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to navigate a sharp curve in the road.
Aside from the evidence collected on scene, Deputy Richard White says the accident will have to be reconstructed to further determine its cause.
"The speed limit is 35 miles per hour. Due to the evidence that was collected on the scene, it appears that the vehicle was going faster than 35 miles per hour."
This isn't the first accident Deputy White has seen on Stone Church Road, he says this is such a common spot for accidents that even the tow truck companies are used to being called to this location.
"We have received a numerous amount of auto accidents on that stretch of road, my department has investigated them. Its not rare for us to be dispatched to this location."
All four people that were in the car at the time of the accident had be to treated for their injuries. Three people were taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The other person's injuries were so severe he had to be flown by medical helicopter to Morgantown.
