CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -

In 2008 258 Thousand dollars was spent by the West Virginia Tax Department for 55 computer routers one for each county.

The idea was to create a network between county courthouses and Charleston, the supreme court wanted it's own network.

2012 most of those routers are sitting in storage, only a dozen were said to be installed. The have now been replaced with more expense ones that were purchased with federal stimulus funds.
