Seventeen people are recovering Tuesday morning after a gunman opened fire outside of a crowded bar in Tuscaloosa, the home of the University of Alabama.
According to the Associated Press, Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson said the gunman fired through a window, then shot at people outside as they fled the bar. Police say the gunman never went inside the bar during the assault early Tuesday.
According to DCH Regional Medical Center spokesman Brad Fisher, 17 people are being treated.
Four of the victims were admitted to the hospital, while two were receiving critical care. It was not immediately known if all of the injuries were from gunfire.
Police are still looking for a suspect on Tuesday morning, but they have released surveillance video of a man they believe to be involved.
