Martins Ferry Police want business owners to take a look at their copper supplies.
Police said they may have been robbed without realizing it.
Police Officer Mika Armstrong says a routine traffic stop turned up a man with a large quantity of industrial copper in his vehicle.
She arrested Richard V. Frazier, 51, of Morristown on outstanding warrants as well as receiving stolen goods and driving with expired plates. But she says they need to know the rightful owner of the copper.
She says it's clearly industrial copper, which might be used in a coal mine or at a construction site.
If your copper has disappeared, call Martins Ferry Police at (740)-633-2121.
