Brooke Hills Park Closed Due to Severe Storm Damage - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Brooke Hills Park is closed Thursday because of severe storm damage Wednesday night.   Park Manager Janice McFadden said it is the worst damage she has seen in the park's history.

Trees were snapped in pieces. Branches and leaves littered the golf course.  A portion of the roof on the pool house was torn off.

Thespians practicing for an upcoming play at the Brooke Hills Playhouse were trapped in the parking lot Wednesday night after large trees came down on the road blocking them in.  Volunteers quickly arrived with chainsaws to clean up the mess.

Officials at Brooke Hills Park are asking for volunteers to help them clean up. The park will be closed until further notice.
