Kroger Holds Drug Take Back Event - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

It's time once again to clean out your cabinets of old and expired prescriptions.

Kroger Pharmacy held Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Mt. Dechantal Road location.

Organizers have made it easy and safe for you to get rid of un-needed medications. Just drive up and a Wheeling Police officer will take them off your hands.

Organizers say it's mandatory to have authorities handle the drugs. Once they're collected, officers will dispose of the drugs by burning them.

If you missed Saturday's drug take back, the Wheeling Police Department has a drop off location set up on Mt. Dechantal Road. You can also ask your Kroger pharmacist when the next drug take back day will be.
