17-year-old, Kallie Myers of St. Clairsville, placed first at the 75th Annual FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby World Championship on Saturday.
The world championship derby was held in Akron, Ohio.
More than 500 kids from across the country and even as far away as New Zealand participated in the derby.
Racers between the ages of eight and 17 spent months building their gravity-powered racecars and competing in local Soap Box Derby competitions to earn their trip to the World Championships.
Myers was awarded the national title and a share of $45,000 in scholarship awards.
