Water Outage Planned for City of Wellsburg - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The Wellsburg Water Department has planned a system shutdown for water customers.

According to the City of Wellsburg, the shutdown will occur from 12th Street to the south end of town at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 27 until around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28. A precautionary 48-hour boil order will be in effect until the sample results are received.

The shutdown is being done in order to install valves throughout that portion of the water system to minimize future service interruptions.
