Interested buyers have already submitted their bids to purchase the local RG Steel Plants in the Ohio Valley.
RG Steel has continued to work its way through bankruptcy court.
Up for sale locally are the Mingo Plant, Yorkville and the Coke plant.
If the bankruptcy court deems none of the bids are acceptable, they could place the bid up for auction as early as July 31.
The president of the United Steel Workers, Ernie Gambellin, says the Mingo Plant is a good buy.
"With the electric arc furnace, which is practically new, and the rolling mill and the caster, I think this company has positioned itself to a buyer," said Gambellin.
He also believes another attractive offer is the workforce in the Ohio Valley.
"I know these guys are eager to get back to work and hopefully there is someone out there who can get these guys back to work," said Gambellin. "They deserve it."
A Federal Bankruptcy Court expected to announce Wednesday just who is interested in purchasing the local plants.
