After a short term cool snap, warm moist air will quickly return on Thursday.

As a quickly moving cold front moves into the area on Thursday evening, chances for some heavy rain and a couple of severe storms will return to the area. 

The weather should gradually improve as we go through Friday and weekend with cooler temperatures and lower humidity returning over the area.
