The man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl on Wheeling Island was back in court Wednesday.
David Maya, 24, waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Magistrate Harry Radcliffe sent his case to the grand jury for next term.
Maya will continued to be jailed in the Northern Regional Jail on a $500,000 bond. If Maya would happen to make bail, he will be under house arrest in Ohio County and must surrender his passport.
Maya was arrested in Maryland and brought back to Wheeling to face the charges of four counts of sexual assault in the second degree.
If Maya is found guilty, he could spend 10-25 years in prison.
