WHEELING -
A moving ceremony is planned to pay tribute to the United States Armed Forces.
The Veterans Appreciation Ceremony will take place Saturday at noon on the Heritage Port Stage in Wheeling.
''This moving ceremony is an integral part of the Italian Festival to recognize and honor our brave men and women in uniform and all those who have ever served America in the military,'' said Robert Gaudio, Italian Festival chairman.
According to a news release, the Veterans Appreciation Ceremony will include the posting of the colors by Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Division of Moundsville.
Wheeling Mayor Andy McKenzie will present a proclamation from the City.
