The man who worked tirelessly to protect children from Internet predators by founding the Belmont County SPII task force has died.
Tim Zdanski, 57, suffered a series of heart attacks last Friday while on a family trip to Columbus. He was rushed to Riverside Hospital where he died late yesterday.
In addition to leading the SPII Task Force, Zdanski also served as Bethesda Police Chief, administrative head of the Belmont County Drug Task Force and a Bethesda village administrator.
Colleagues say it's a huge loss for law enforcement in Belmont County. Zdanski leaves behind a wife and children.
