
Politicians have promoted themselves with campaign buttons, long before Tweets, Youtube videos and Facebook posts, and this week a national political items collectors group shows off this tradition at its national convention in Columbus.
The organization works with the Smithsonian Institution, presidential libraries, homes, birthplaces and museums among others to facilitate the understanding of politics using the artifacts of American political campaigns. The convention runs Saturday.
