Man Pleads Guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter for Teen Death

A Marshall County man charged with involuntary manslaughter in an automobile accident pled guilty Monday in Marshall County.

David Schwing, 19, had been driving a Dodge Neon on U.S. 250 back on October 16, 2011. 

According to a report from  Marshall County Chief Deputy Kevin Cecil, Schwing had passed a vehicle in a no passing zone and lost control striking a minivan. His passenger, 19-year-old Arthur Woods died in the impact.  The minivan driver also suffered injuries.

According to Marshall County prosecutor Jeffrey Cramer, Schwing faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. 

Magistrate David Buzzard will decide Schwing's sentence on September 12.
