Butler says Flyers were placed on parked cars in the Elm Grove area, accusing himself and other members of the department of falsifying evidence, and engaging in a conspiracy to push shipments of drugs from Steubenville, Ohio to southern states.
The flyer, written by an anonymous group, calls for an investigation of the sheriff.
"It's ludicrous," Sheriff Butler said Monday. "If anyone had a case or any solid evidence against me or the deputies, I would presume they would take it to the FBI, instead of putting flyers on people's windshields."
Butler said he found it disgusting that the flyer indicted two very good deputies in his department.
According to Butler, they are not actively investigating this as a case.
However, Butler claims they will eventually find out who's responsible, and at that point, they might have a civil lawsuit.
