Seabright Leads Local Contingent at WV Amateur

Wheeling's Joey Seabright fired a -1 under par 71 on the Greenbrier Course in the opening round of the 93rd West Virginia Amateur in White Sulphur Springs.

Seabright is in a tie for third, trailing Trent Roush (-3) and Jay Woodward (-2) heading into tomorrow's second round.

Wheeling Park High School junior Thadd Obecny shot a 72, Wheeling's Bryan Myers fired a 77, and Wheeling Park High School sophomore Cole Hand carded an 82.

The players will switch to the Old White Course on Tuesday, when the field will be cut to the top 40 and ties.
