It was a quiet night for many living near Kentucky Street on Wheeling Island.
Many were fast asleep until shots rang out just before midnight.
Residents woke up to not only the sound of gunfire, but the sight of bullet holes in the side of their homes.
One man opened his front door only to see the large hole and broken glass after it was shot out by a gunman's bullet.
Wheeling P.D. are now investigating and they tell WTRF.com they have a suspect and vehicle in mind, but at this time of this report, they're not releasing that information.
WTRF.com did confirm nobody was injured in the shooting.
One lady, who wished to remain anonymous, told WTRF.com she thought this was the safe part of Wheeling Island.
