Officials said a gas leak at Tri-State Petroleum in New Martinsville caused residents to be evacuated on South Main Street Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said that gas leak has been contained.

The Environmental Protection Agency was on scene making sure the area was safe for residents to return.

Authorities said the leak caused some anxious moments, but no one was injured.
