INSIDE TRACK: Crown Royal 400 Review

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -

You really couldn't blame team owner Rick Hendrick for the ear to ear grin after the Crown Royal 400.  Jimmie Johnson takes the win, Junior takes over the points lead and the team had three drivers inside the top five.

Jimmie Johnson joined childhood hero Rick Mears and teammate Jeff Gordon as a select few who have four wins at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Johnson won Sunday's Crown Royal 400 at I.M.S., taking the checkered flag almost five seconds ahead of runner-up Kyle Busch.

Johnson may have gotten the win, but with his fourth place finish, coupled with Matt Kenseth wrecking out at 35th, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. took over the points lead.  Junior felt they were steady all season and deserved to be on top.

One Hendrick driver was not happy with a fifth place finish.  Jeff Gordon, fighting to make the chase, felt this race was another one that got away.

The win gives Johnson three on the season, tying him with Brad Keselowski and Tony Stewart for the season lead in wins.
