Gas Prices in West Virginia Up Nearly 2 Cents Since Last Week

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -

The price of gas has risen in the Mountain State since last week.

According to Triple A, the price for a gallon of gas in West Virginia has risen nearly 2 cents.

Triple A's weekly check of gas prices found the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.52. That price is up 1.6 cents from a week ago. On the plus side, it's about 17 cents lower per gallon than a year ago.

The West Virginia price is a couple cents higher than the U.S. average.

Fuel prices this week range from $3.44 a gallon in Huntington to $3.59 in Morgantown.
