
Traffic on Interstate 70 Eastbound was backed-up on Wednesday afternoon due to a flipped tanker truck.
The accident happened at approximately 12:30 p.m.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Pat Butler, the tanker went into the median and flipped onto its side in the eastbound lane.
The driver was not injured, but was taken to OVMC as a precaution.
At one point, both lanes were closed and authorities are directing traffic unto Dallas Pike.
Crews were able to clear the scene in roughly an hour and traffic was flowing smoothing again at 1:38 p.m.
