WHEELING -
A local casino is being recognized by America's largest gaming publication.
Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino and Racetrack is being recognized for the fourth consecutive year for "Best Reel Slots" in this years Casino Player Magazine reader's poll.
The casino was awarded with a total of 22 "best of Gaming" awards including nine first place and 13 second place awards.
First place awards include: "Best Reel Slots," "Overall Gaming Resort," "Hotel," "Rooms," "Best Suites," "Best Comps," "Best Table Game Tournaments," and "Best Entertainment."
Second place awards include: "Best Casino," "Best Players Club," "Best Promotions," "Best Dealers," "Best Race/Sportsbook," "Best Poker Tournaments," "Casino Where You Feel Luckiest," "Best Video Slots," "Best Video Poker," "Best Blackjack," "Best Craps," "Best Roulette," and "Best Steakhouse, The Pointe."
The August issue of Casino Player Magazine, which features the "best of Gaming" winners from across the country, hits the shelves this week.
