A bar fight ended with shots being fired early Sunday morning.
According to Sgt. Tom DeVaul with the Belmont County Sheriff's Office this all happened at Don and Pam's Bar on County Road 5, Glenn's Run Road just outside of Martins Ferry.
Sgt. DeVaul said Ernie Rice of Martins Ferry had been involved in an altercation inside the bar which led to him being escorted out.
Approximately 30 minutes later Rice was spotted outside of the bar with a gun and was allegedly pointing it towards the bar.
Two patrons from the bar then went after Rice and a fight broke out. During the fight two shots were fired.
Sgt. DeVaul said Rice was arrested and booked on charges of using a weapon while intoxicated and having a weapon on the premise of a liquor establishment.
Rice could possibly face more charges, including assault, when he is in Northern Division Court this week.
