It isn't your typical Sunday evening at one local church.
First United Methodist Church in Martins Ferry debuted their Rugged Cross Wrestling Championship Sunday.
This wrestling event was created as a Christian faith based pro-wrestling organization promoting exciting, fun and family sports entertainment.
These nights will be held twice monthly at the church on Cove Street and will not only feature wrestling but the chance for kids to meet their favorite wrestlers, get pictures and autographs.
Tom Wensyel, who is co-creator of RCCW, said it's a way to help the church, it's fundraising and it's community outreach. He said they are not only reaching out to people in Martins Ferry but across the Ohio Valley as well.
The next show is scheduled for August 19th at 5:00 PM
