The West Virginia Lottery will pay two prizes for the July 30 Cash 25 drawing after an incorrect number was recorded on a verification document.
The Lottery says in a news release that the number 21 was drawn but it was recorded as 20.
Lottery Director John Musgrave says the mistake was due to human error. He says it's the first such incident in the Lottery's history.
Players who bought winning tickets for the drawing should mail them or bring them to the Lottery's headquarters in Charleston for validation. Musgrave says tickets may not be properly validated at retail locations because of the error.
The correct numbers were 7, 10, 11, 21, 23 and 25. The incorrectly recorded numbers were 7, 10, 11, 20, 23 and 25.
