WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) -

A former bookkeeper charged with stealing more than $1.2 million in horse racing funds from Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort won't stand trial until February.

U.S. District Judge Frederick Stamp has scheduled jury selection to begin Feb. 5, 2013 in Wheeling. He also ordered that any plea agreement be submitted by Jan. 29.

Forty-eight-year-old Anita Ambler of Reva, Va., faces 21 counts of mail fraud, 15 counts of wire fraud and six counts of using criminal proceeds for a transaction.

In moving for the delay, her lawyers said they need more time to locate and interview witnesses, and to review thousands of pages of evidence.

The thefts occurred between 2005 and 2010, but weren't discovered until Ambler quit and an audit was conducted.

She was indicted last December.
