Matt Coffland has been indicted by the Belmont County Grand Jury on one count of assault against a peace officer at Jamboree in the Hills.
The assault is a fourth-degree felony. Coffland remains free on bond but there will be an arraignment Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Belmont County Courthouse.
Coffland, the Belmont County Commissioner, is also facing separate charges that reportedly stem from alleged behavior during an investigation of their business, The Tiger Pub, in Shadyside by liquor control agents.
