
A native West Virginian serving as president of GOPAC, the Republican Party political training organization, will make a presentation to local voters while updating the area on GOP efforts.
David Avella, who grew up in Martinsburg, West Virginia, will be in Wheeling on Tuesday, August 14th at WesBanco Arena's West Meeting room between 1:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. Organizers say they will have refreshments available.
According to a press release, the organization has a stated goal "of educating and electing a new generation of conservative leaders." GOPAC ranks in the top 10 most influential 527-political committees focused on state elections. The organization says that in 2010, 84 percent of the candidates they supported, won.
Avella makes frequent appearances on Fox News Channel, as well as selected MSNBC news shows. He holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Shepard University in Shepardstown, West Virginia.
