The city of Moundsville and the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) are gearing up to host an impressive tribute to military veterans later this month.

The Ohio Valley Cost of Freedom is set for Aug. 23-26. The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors from all over the tri-state area to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect American freedoms.

The centerpiece of the event is known as the Wall. It is a 380 foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.
