Crews have been working diligently to set up for the three day event, which got underway Friday afternoon. This year features some of the top blues musicians in the country.

Event producer Bruce Wheeler says the festival attracts people from various parts of the country.

"People from out of town love coming to Wheeling. Actually I was hearing this morning on facebook this chatter about people leaving from Atlanta Georgia and putting together there cd collection for there trip to Wheeling," Wheeler said. "I wanted to come with them. Sounds like fun."

The festival runs through the weekend until Sunday night, Aug. 12
