The Jefferson County Christian School (JCCS) will open their new location Saturday, August 11 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.
The new location, purchased in March of this year, is at 125 Fernwood Road in Wintersville, Ohio. The school was formerly located in Mingo Junction.
JCCS administrator Diane Hutchinson says everyone is excited about beginning the new school year.
"We are very excited about starting the new school year in the new building and becoming a part of the Wintersville community," she said. "There are so many new things to look forward to this year including new uniforms, a new 20 station Mac lab and an elaborate playground coming soon."
JCCS was established as a non-denominational Christian school in 1978. In May, the school held its 16 commencement ceremony.
The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 2 p.m. followed by the open house, which ends at 4 p.m.
