Police responded to a domestic disturbance near 48th Street early Saturday morning in Wheeling.
Authorities responded at about 1:04 a.m. where they say Joshua Frazier allegedly struck his girlfriend and forced her into his vehicle.
Officers spoke with a witness and began searching the area, eventually identify the vehicle based on the witness' description. Police then informed Frazier he was under arrest.
Wheeling police officers were forced to taser Frazier who attempted to resist arrest.
Frazier has been charged with a felony offense of abduction of a person. Charges for domestic battery and resisting arrest are pending.
