Ohio Gas Prices Down Slightly This Week

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -

Drivers in the Buckeye State are paying less at the pump, despite a national trend of rising gas prices.

A Monday survey by the AAA auto club stated that the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.74. That's down about 12 cents from 3.86 last week.

The slight dip comes amid rising prices this summer due to problems with refineries and pipelines in the West Coast and Midwest.

The average gas price in Ohio is 20 cents more than a year ago.

Nationally, the average price for regular gas is about $3.70 - 8 cents higher than last week. The national average last year at this time was about $3.60.
