Power has been restored to thousands of residents in Bellaire and Shadyside.

According to Carmen Prati-Miller of AEP, the outage was restored around 7:30 Tuesday morning.

Around 10 o'clock there were still a little over 100 people without power in Shadyside. It is expected to be restored around Noon.

Over 5,000 Belmont County residents are currently without power.

According to AEP, crews are working to figure out what caused a transmission outage so they can fix the issue.

More details are expected to be released within the hour.
